Here is a little about me...

The name's Duffy. Brian Duffy. But my friends call me Duffy, so I guess you can call me Duffy! (And it was BEFORE that singer Duffy decided to market her name as Duffy...!)

I grew up in Dumbarton, Scotland before moving to Wolverhampton to study at the University of Wolverhampton. I am currently in my final year of my BA (hons) Film Production degree, which is going pretty good!

Clive Mason was the first Deaf person to present sign language on TV, for me anyway, and being the only Deaf guy in my family, he caught my eye and from that moment on, I knew what I wanted to do. Working ever since, I achieved this dream when I first appeared on See Hear at the tender age of 19 and since then have been reporting for them, and others, on many occasions.

I also pursued acting after building up my on-screen confidence, and have been involved in various short films including 'The World Today', the world's first ever Deaf sketch comedy which I took part in writing, acting and directing. Prior to that I acted in 'The Guest', my first serious acting role, and my performance met with praise from a large audience at the Wolverhampton Deaf Film Festival, AKA Deaffest. The film itself was nominated for The Best British Film.

I have been to many different countries, always keen to learn their sign languages and I try to attend many Deaf film festivals all over the world.

My favourite actor is Marlon Brando - he had it all; the looks, the charm and the acting talent!
